Our mandate is to regulate the energy sector in Malawi in a fair, transparent, efficient and cost effective manner for the benefit of the consumers and operators. We are located in 2nd floor of Development House in City Centre, Lilongwe, Malawi.

Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) considered recent trends in the international market oil prices and changes in other macroeconomic fundamentals in the local market and their impact on aviation fuel prices.

PETROLEUM PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL PRICES

Since August 2014, FOB prices for Jet A1 declined by 13.19% as noted on the Arab Gulf Market.

The average Free On Board (FOB) prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) declined by 8.48% in the month of October 2014, when compared to the ruling average obtained in August, 2014.
