Our mandate is to regulate the energy sector in Malawi in a fair, transparent, efficient and cost effective manner for the benefit of the consumers and operators. BACKGROUND
Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) considered recent trends in the world petroleum products’ prices and changes in other macroeconomic fundamentals in the local market and their impact on energy prices.
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL PRICES
Since October 2013, FOB prices for petrol declined by 0.40% and that of diesel and paraffin increased by 2.04% and 3.02% respectively.
